A little about me... I am originally from Plainview, Texas and am currently living in Miami, Florida. I've been married to my husband Andrew since 2004. We met in undergrad at Southern Methodist University. I have been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) since 2004. My B.A. is in Political Science with a minor in Vocal Performance from Southern Methodist University. My M.S. is in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Florida International University. I currently teach English and Test Prep to adults in Miami, Florida.  Most recently I have been a Curriculum Designer and English Faculty for Florida International University's Strategic Language Institute.  In the past I was a Workshop Presenter, Intensive English Instructor, and Private Tutor for inlingua Language Centers.  Additionally, I have been a Corporate Language Instructor for Talk School of Languages.  Previously I was a Curriculm Designer and the TESL Certificate Program Coordinator for Tecnológico Espíritu Santo in Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Prior to that, I was Curriculum Designer of accent reduction activities for Speetra: Ambition.  For 5 years I taught K-6th ESL for Mesquite ISD, where I was a mentor for interns, near Dallas, Texas. I was a Language Consultant for Rice University in Houston, Texas. In addition, I aided in the establishment of Elite Language Learning Institute, a language school in the Texas DFW metro-plex for international students with study visas.  My field experience was with Kaplan International, where I was Academic Coordinator, Teacher Trainer, and Intensive English Instructor.
